Unified Tribe

Unified Tribe is a funk and soul group formed by Award-winning producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and phenomenal vocalist: Magic Mendez. Independent from the get go, Unified Tribe debuted in 2001 with Listen to This, an album that was well received and resulted a sizeable buzz for the group. They followed in 2003 with Mixed Messages and their third release: Funktional Family made some noise in both radio and retail. The first single “Back and Forth,” broke onto the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts and “Happy Go Lucky” aired on The Bold and The Beautiful. Their 4th Release “On Purpose”, introduced many new phenomenal vocalists and talented musicians, all the while maintaining the consistent funk n soul of Unified Tribe.

Founder Magic Mendez and Harmony Blackwell have continued to perform and record since the groups inception. Under their Production Company Magic Muzik Productions, LLC, the talented producer and Harmony have have worked with Howard Hewett, The Legendary Whispers, Phil Perry, Love Unlimited and Earth Wind & Fire, just to name a few.

Together Magic and Harmony currently perform with The Legendary Whispers. Magic on Bass and singing Background Vocals and Harmony the First Female in the over 50 year history of the Vocal Group is their Live Performance Programmer and Background Vocalist.
