Formed in 2013 among the tombs and crypts of Dubh Linn, Vircolac's intent since its formation is to create Death Metal that fuses and melds seamlessly together the divine and the demonic, song crafting and atmosphere befitting the classic horror film genre.
Influences range from classic 80s heroes Metallica, Slayer, Bathory, Sodom, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden to Death Metal gods Morbid Angel, Autopsy, Deicide, Entombed, Death and Paradise Lost.
Brendan says of the new album Veneration "This album sonically expanded much wider than we could have hoped. We are deeply proud of what has been the result of an intense time for each member of the band over the last 3 years."
