Wafahish's deep interest in music began since she was 9 years old. Early exposure to the field of singing, the genre of traditional music and ballads are always close to her heart. The direction and her musical soul is leaning heavily towards such music. It is no surprise her singing talent has been shaped since such a young age. The singer has indeed inherited the artistic blood of her family where her parents also have talents in singing and dancing.
At the age of 12, Wafahish entered Sekolah Seni Malaysia in Kuching and received her education in music, drama, visuals, and dance. The complete package with experience and knowledge is clearly an advantage for her to stand out more as a performer.
Entering the age of 20, Wafa continued her academic studies in the field of music by majoring in Classical Vocal at the University of Malaya, where actively participated in singing competitions of various genres including ballads, traditional Malay, nasyid and dikir barat.
In 2016, she then joined Bahiyya Haneesa’s acapella group with her university friends. She also appeared in the TV program I Can See Your Voice Malaysia. Not only that, the video of her singing Hero (Mariah Carey) with her twin sister went viral.
