As the drummer for emo punk-pop band <a href="spotify:artist:3utxjLheHaVEd9bPjQRsy8">Coheed & Cambria</a>, Joshua Eppard had longed for the opportunity to express himself lyrically, not through singing but rapping. <a href="spotify:artist:3utxjLheHaVEd9bPjQRsy8">Coheed</a>'s record label, Equal Vision, took a chance and offered him his own imprint to piece together the rap project that he had been concocting and fooling around with since his pre-teens, Weerd Science. With the help of producers <a href="spotify:artist:29L1W3vzTTkcPNGgjNRaup">Ill</a> (Danny Illchuk) and Wavis (Dave Parker), he constantly worked on the material whenever he came back from touring with <a href="spotify:artist:3utxjLheHaVEd9bPjQRsy8">Coheed</a>.
