Whitebrow is the project of Canadian singer-songwriter Gabriel DeSantis.
In the winter of 2012 DeSantis took up residence in an old, vacant church in rural Burlington with a guitar and some recording gear. After two weeks, and with the instrumental help of some friends, Whitebrow's self-titled LP was complete.
For the follow-up to Whitebrow, DeSantis and the band (Rosalyn Dennett, Frank Evans and Sam Petite) moved out of the church and into the barn-studio of Grammy-nominated producer, Darryl Neudorf (Neko Case, The New Pornographers) in Mono, Ontario. After a week of writing and recording, they came away with the 11-track Mono Vodou. Hailed as "Mesmerizing and darkly curious" by CBC Music, the record was co-produced by DeSantis and Neudorf and mastered by Peter J. Moore (Bob Dylan, The Cowboy Junkies).
DeSantis now fronts the genre-bending ensemble King Cardiac.
