In 2011, Nicklous McCorkle graduated from Mumford High School in Detroit, MI. While not exceptionally gifted in any field, a choice encounter with the digital audio workstation FL Studio helped cement his future goals. Performing as Whyandotte (a name shared with a city in Michigan that he chose after a prank call), he has created and produced many singles and albums for his solo releases, as well as releases for the two main hip hop groups he is a member, being Forever Golden and Cemetery Drive. With both groups garnering millions of listens, Dotte seems best at home on his projects, where he is free to perform his signature blend of introspection, self-awareness, and realism over self-produced pieces of music.
