After a decade of playing drums in various Chicago based math rock, post-rock, post-hardcore, and punk bands such as Space Blood, Droughts, Rust Ring, etc. I'm venturing out and adding solo performer to my resume.
The idea behind doing solo performances and making Music for Synthesizer and Drums came about as an experiment to creating music that features synthesizer and drums without any pretense of genre or label i.e. it's not rock music for synthesizer and drums, it's not punk music for synthesizer and drums, it's not jazz music for synthesizer and drums, it's just Music for Synthesizer and Drums.The album consists of fully composed songs as well as quasi-improvised pieces that play off the beauty of imperfections inherent with analog synthesizers and acoustic drums that keeps the music lively, but not sterile. This is weird music made for weird people.
