The spark that inspired the next work ignited on the azure blue coast of southern France. The upcoming release should be more ambitious. To be bigger. To be a little bit overchallenging. And so Woomera withdrew behind the scenes to focus entirely on the songwriting process. Besides studies, a total water damage in the rehearsal room and the following months of renovations, they managed to develop and refine the band and their craft despite spatial separation and strains. The newly created songs brought the mystical character of the band to the point and the band itself one step closer to its vision.
For this release the musicians decided to take the production completely into their own hands as well. All steps, from tracking the instruments to mastering and creating the artwork, were meticulously done by the band themselves. With the release of 'CAUSTICS OF A TIDAL SPIRIT' on August 15, 2020, Woomera has definitely developed a style of its own, without denying its influences. Elements based on energetic Progressive Rock and Post-Metal complement each other to create a thrillingly flowing painting, which unfolds in an unrestrained happening, especially live.
The release marks the beginning of a new phase for Woomera, full of magical live moments and meaningful encounters. The band strives to develop continuously and to get closer and closer to their vision.
