After a first teaser with the release of „Protocol“ in late 2022 Xul Zolar announce the follow-up to their debut record “Fear Talk” with a second single, called “Underwater”, which is out on February 8. “Underwater” is a dark, pulsating synth pop anthem, that shows off the band’s unique ability to combine experimental playfulness with elegant pop songwriting. It delivers another foray into the band’s second album which is called “Heidelbach” and which will be released on March 17. Comprising 12 songs “Heidelbach” was recorded and produced in Cologne with the help of producer duo Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad, also known as COMA. On the record the band have perfected their very own style of melancholic yet highly engaging synth pop, which for all its indebtedness to the classics of the genre never sounds "old" or "retro".
