Her style has evolved into a complex fusion, consistently showcasing a sleek dichotomy between nightmarish softness and grandiose explosions of energy. Yikii has continually experimented with fragmented piano structures, horror sound design, distorted hardcore kick drums, microtonal experimentation, and more. She sometimes writes lyrics in a self-created language, expanding the imaginative space of her music. Although her music often leans toward melancholy, she focuses more on the faint glimmers of light that remain within the darkness. A rich sense of imagery reveals a strange world.
From a young age, Yikii studied voice and piano. Upon acquiring her first computer, she began teaching herself music production using Logic Pro. Her creative impetus is drawn from nightmares, psychological trauma, and a longstanding fascination with science fiction literature.
Yikii lives an isolated life, rarely socializing with humans and spending more time with animals. When tormented by the nihility of existence and immersed in nothingness, she creates music and poetry as a refuge, exploring dreams of the organic and inorganic beyond reality.
Yikii no longer performs live, having realized that her main style of music is unsuited to this format. The pressure of human crowds has become unbearable for her, both physically and psychologically.
