Yoko and the Oh No’s are known for their high-energy performances and retro-rock sound that blends spiky garage and vintage soul. Vocalist Max Goldstein, guitarist Max Loebman, and drummer Stef Roti recorded their self-released, self-titled debut in early 2014. It was reissued worldwide by Autumn Tone/Epitaph Records in 2015 and preceded by 2-years of playing shows all around Chicago, touring, and opening for a dynamic range of artists like The Growlers, Bob the Drag Queen, and Diane Coffee.
After taking a 5-year hiatus, coming back together in 2022 with the addition of bassist Kelly Hannemann, the group’s formula now includes chill-inducing 3-part harmonies. Their second album, "Change," is composed of brand new material as well as old songs left unfinished before they split. It was entirely self-recorded, produced, and mixed by the band throughout the past year. LP2 could solidify their status as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the Chicago music scene in recent years.
