Though they might sound like a long lost band from the '90s, emo revivalists You Blew It! came together in 2009. Drawing upon all of the heartache, uncertainty, and energy of bands like the Get Up Kids and Cap'n Jazz, the Orlando, Florida band will feel familiar to anyone who grew up with the Initial Records catalog as the soundtrack to their life. The band made their debut in 2009 with a self-titled EP, following up with another EP, The Past in the Present, in 2010. Their first full-length, Grow Up, Dude, arrived in 2012, and a sophomore effort, Keep Doing What You're Doing, followed two years later in early 2014. After their first EP, You Blew It!'s lineup changed on numerous occasions, but the members present for their 2014 album stayed together long enough to release another album in 2016, Abendrot, showing a more mature approach to their music for the first time. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
