Born on June 11, 1988 in Okinawa, Japan, Yui Aragaki was a popular model, actress and singer who first got attention as a junior fashion model. She eventually moved into television presenting and commercial work -- she was best known for her ads for the candy-snack Pocky -- and by 2007 had decided to add singer to her resume. Her first single, "Heavenly Days," was recorded for the film Koizora, of which she was to star.
