YVA is the "hyper emotional outpouring" of Newcastle artist and producer Amy Holford. Her covers EP Don't Miss It released in 2019, with her cover of James Bay's <a href="spotify:album:4MiO7k6RG7oS9knVjybLej" data-name="Pink Lemonade">Pink Lemonade</a> amassed millions of streams, before her debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:4EI0GPbEwjJjMZAPuXraUY" data-name="Hype Machine">Hype Machine</a> arrived in 2021. Startling in its sprawling scope, the release mapped a broad sonic and thematic landscape. Combining cathartic emotional release in engrossing compositions, while soaring vocals served drama, cinematic crescendos and fearless introspection.
YVA returned with her second EP in 2023, Delusions of Grandeur, and saw performances on <a href="spotify:artist:6eLbRJP12OhyvUv4ntto4e" data-name="Jools Holland">Jools Holland</a>, collaborations with <a href="spotify:artist:2hnf4Y4AIkUKP4z1utWA2l" data-name="Slowlight Quartet">Slowlight Quartet</a> on a live recorded album and another stint at the Royal Albert Hall for the fourth time with collaborator <a href="spotify:artist:5NCKpzuowtihcIrIHFjKbJ" data-name="Nitin Sawhney">Nitin Sawhney</a>, all the while work on her much anticipated debut album began.
