Agim Dżeljilji is one of the most well-experienced electronic music producers in Poland. Working with Őszibarack band, he has released four LPs since 2004, whose prosperity resulted in performances at several foreign festivals (including Eurosonic or Europavox). During last years, the artist’s contributed to Nervy project with Igor Pudło (Skalpel) and Jan Młynarski. Their output was aimed at linking two ways of expressing themselves they love - live instrumentarium and the sound of synthesizers. Currently, he’s going on to continue this venture solo, accompanied with the brass section, with whom he played in an iconic Berlin club Berghain last year. And even though he’s successfully cooperated with other musicians, his next step was to start a solo career.
Released as a vinyl, the debut EP saw the light of day in April. “Votulia” consists of six compositions, in which A_GIM explores different sides of electronic music. The genres he has floated in may be connoted with artists from such labels as BPitch Controle or Kompakt Records. The release is promoted by two singles: “Rajka” recorded with Klark (the vocalist of Lilly Hates Roses) and “Carpet Burn”, where the vocals of buds from BeMy can be heard. The guest list of “Votulia” also includes Polish club stage’s recognisable figures – Novika and Bshosa.
