Michał Limboski is a Polish songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and music producer. He has been nominated for Poland’s prestigious Fryderyki Awards for the albums Tribute to Georgie Buck and Poliamoria. In 2016, he signed with Sony Music, and his subsequent releases established him as one of the most distinctive and recognizable songwriters on the Polish music scene. Rooted in Kraków’s artistic and literary tradition, he spent several years in Berlin, where he lectured at BIMM (British &Irish Institute for Modern Music) and collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Raymond Thompson, Jörg Holdinghausen, and Roland Satterwhite.
Limboski’s unique guitar style blends surf rock, blues, and fingerstyle techniques. His songwriting draws on the traditions of the American South, world music, and the Polish tradition of poetic song. He is also known for using rare vocal techniques, including overtone singing.
In 2025, he debuted as a prose writer with the book Wieloryby nie kłamią (Whales Don’t Lie), where he merges autobiography, essay, and fiction to reflect on his years in Berlin, the creative process, neoliberal culture, the music industry, and spirituality.
