Gothgazers founded by Ryan Policky alongside original percussionist Gabriel Ratliff and long standing collaborator and friend Erik Jeffries in Denver, Colorado in 2005, <a href="spotify:artist:69mC9jCWu6aiRAvyjIk5es" data-name="A Shoreline Dream">A Shoreline Dream</a> is described as a band "out of time" combining lush sampled textures, organic instrumentation, and vocals layered like a synth similar in vein to bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:6kDMoHTcBICPILP2aclPWZ" data-name="Mew">Mew</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6UUrUCIZtQeOf8tC0WuzRy" data-name="Sigur Rós">Sigur Rós</a> mixed with an early <a href="spotify:artist:6sq7prp0tj9Abn89khmfja" data-name="Dead Can Dance">Dead Can Dance</a> production style. Over the past 20 years ASD has churned out numerous releases under their own label (Latenight Weeknight Records), working with legends <a href="spotify:artist:4znPt0HV6Ik0iR8sR4GAJE" data-name="Ulrich Schnauss">Ulrich Schnauss</a>, Mark Kramer and <a href="spotify:artist:2HZ8qzKVTrbcmjvYspkstv" data-name="Mark Gardener">Mark Gardener</a> (among others) over those two decades. In the 2010's they landed on a compilation for Rocket Girl Records for a song written while Ryan visited Ulrich in Leytonstone entitled "London", and have also remixed for progressive label gods K-Scope, for a song by <a href="spotify:artist:3hY7jnks2m5g2JAUCw4avu" data-name="Engineers">Engineers</a>. In 2023, <a href="spotify:artist:2HZ8qzKVTrbcmjvYspkstv" data-name="Mark Gardener">Mark Gardener</a> of legendary shoegazing band <a href="spotify:artist:0WPY9nnBy01s5QOt4o4oQX" data-name="Ride">Ride</a> met with ASD, and has since helped in the writing and production of three tracks on the 2024 release "Whitelined" with further help in the writing & production of two more tracks featured on the 2026 album "To Where They Have Gone".
