R&Bシンガー／ソングライター。日本語と英語を自由にフローするソングライティングで、90年代・00年代R&Bのフレイバーを纏った現行R&Bサウンドを乗りこなす。2020年のデビューより、R&Bシーンを牽引する音楽プロデューサーShingo.S、Modesty Beats、DJ・ビートメイカーのgrooveman Spot、DJ KOMORIなどと楽曲をリリース。US R&BプロデューサーLEJKEYS（レジェイキーズ）ともコラボシングルを発表し、話題を呼んだ。
2020年に1st EP『Water Me』をリリースし、初登場iTunes R&B／ソウルチャート1位を獲得。無名ながらリード曲「Sorry」がJ-WAVEのSonar Traxに選ばれる。2021年には2nd EP『Changed 4 Good』をリリース。2022年2月に3rd EP『Chosen One』をリリースし、iTunes R&B／ソウルチャート1位を再び獲得。国内R&Bシーンを盛り上げるため立ち上げた2023年はプロデューサー/DJ tofubeats、EMI MARIA、JASMINEとコラボシングルを連続リリース。
昨年春、キュレーションプロジェクト「R&B Lovers Club」を立ち上げ、同時にSpotifyポッドキャスト「Detox Lounge powered by R&B Lovers Club」を配信スタート。2月5日に3年ぶりのEP「Empower.Embrace」を発表。キャリア初のワンマンライブを渋谷WWWで開催し、大成功させる。
Born and raised in Japan, aimi is a multi-talented singer and a rising R&B artist. Her activities are currently based in Tokyo, and she released her first bilingual EP, Water Me (2020), for both Japanese and global R&B listeners. Growing up listening to soul music and R&B, aimi picked up her fatherʼs guitar and began writing her own music at the age of 16. Her sound is rooted in 90ʼs and 00ʼs R&B with the influences of contemporary and alternative R&B sound. With her 3rd EP, <a href="spotify:track:4VZJyx96dNBeRAZnUyNfrB" data-name="Chosen One">Chosen One</a> (2022), aimi has gained more national and global recognition. Every song she has released has been a way to express her love to the growing global contemporary R&B community. She continues to push the boundaries of her music to proudly deliver her "Made in Japan" R&B for all the R&B lovers worldwide.
