東京を拠点に活動するシンガーソングライター。2018年2月発表の1stアルバム”ego”をはじめ、2020年8月には2作同時に発表した“ruby”“selene”を含む4枚のEPをこれまでにリリース。自身のルーツである90年代のR&Bやソウルミュージックなどを軸としつつも、作品ごとにジャズや現行のフューチャーソウルなど様々なエッセンスを取り入れながら自身の音楽を追求している。また、親交の深いWONK、KANDYTOWNのメンバーらの作品にも参加しているほか、自身の作品にKai Takahashi（LUCKY TAPES）、MONJOE（DATS）、Mori Zentaroなどをプロデューサーに迎えるなど、ジャンルを超えたアーティストとのコラボレーションを交えながら音楽の可能性を広げている。
MALIYA is a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo. Starting with her 1st album “ego”, she has released 4 other EPs including “ruby” and “selene”, which were released on the same day in August, 2020. Having her musical roots in 90’s R&B and soul, MALIYA pursuits her music through adopting the essence of various music like jazz and future soul. She is close with the members of WONK and KANDYTOWN, and has taken a part in their music production. She has also had Kai Takahashi (LUCKY TAPES), MONJOE (DATS), and Mori Zentaro produce her songs. MALIYA collaborates with artists from diverse genres as she expands the possibilities of music in Japan.
