Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian superstar Anitta has become the leading voice of a new generation of Latin music and the biggest global female pop star to emerge from the country. Recognized among the world’s most influential artists, she has built a record breaking career across multiple markets.

The global breakthrough came with “Envolver,” which topped the Spotify Global chart, making Anitta the first Brazilian artist to achieve the milestone. The album Versions of Me (2022) surpassed 1 billion streams and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist. She also made history at the MTV Video Music Awards, winning Best Latin and becoming the first Brazilian solo artist to take home the award.

In 2024, she expanded her international impact with Funk Generation and hits like “Mil Veces” and “BELLAKEO,” reinforcing her role in taking Brazilian funk worldwide, and won Best Latin again at the MTV Video Music Awards. In 2025, she released the Netflix documentary Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta.
