Anna Mieke is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Wicklow, Ireland.
Anna Mieke’s musical landscape developed from years of collaborations and experimenting, during her time living in both Cork and Dublin. In 2022, she undertook a residency in New York, collaborating with NYC-based musicians and composers, followed by a 16-date North America full-band tour and support tours with Florist and Iron and Wine across Europe and the US in 2023. She has also supported artists including Wilco, Anais Mitchell, Lankum + Bonny Light Horseman. Outside of her solo material, Anna Mieke played cello with HEX, a Cork-based improvisatory group, and developed her vocals as one-third of the singing group, Rufous Nightjar, both of which allowed her to further explore sound manipulation, improvisation and complex harmonic arrangements.
Theatre, which she recorded + co-produced with Nick Rayner, features contributions from bandmates Ryan Hargadon (<a href="spotify:artist:3ZHJIsD3uMwwjXlSpDzPtY" data-name="Kojaque">Kojaque</a>, @<a href="spotify:artist:6fB2D85hn56JzRBTlCG0nw" data-name="Rachael Lavelle">Rachael Lavelle</a>) and Matthew Jacobson (<a href="spotify:artist:4BfC304NqLQht44pZaTLGE" data-name="Umbra">Umbra</a>), as well as Rozi Leyden (<a href="spotify:artist:2plHc7V92yXf40BD8lQl2x" data-name="Rozi Plain">Rozi Plain</a>), Brían Glynn (@<a href="spotify:artist:34Or4SetJBRvrlE8AO1qDO" data-name="Ye Vagabonds">Ye Vagabonds</a>), Lina Andonovska, Alannah Thorn burgh and Cora Venus Lunny + was released in 2022.
