Created by Dublin composer Michael McGlynn, ANÚNA blend the sonic tapestries of real and imagined worlds with ease. The name comes from "An Uaithne," an Irish term for the three ancient forms of Irish music: Suantraí (lullaby), Geantraí (happy song), and Goltraí (lament).

McGlynn’s striking compositional voice is central to ANÚNA’s identity, giving their music a timeless quality that resonates globally. They have been signed to Decca, Polygram, Universal, Koch and Universal Classics, charting on Billboard on many occasions and performed on the greatest stages in the world from Radio City Music Hall to The Royal Albert Hall.

ANÚNA gained increased international attention through Riverdance the Show from 1995 to 1996, contributing four cuts to the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack.
