Ariel Days is Alfie Templeman (b. 26-01-2003). Formed in 2018, and initially serving as a side project in which Templeman platformed his main solo project's leftover material, he soon broadened his horizons, and Ariel Days now serves as the main space for the multi-instrumentalist and producer's musical escapades and experiments.
Debut album “Ariel Days” was released in 2020, with Templeman writing and recording the entire LP in just 24 hours, followed by a crowdfunded limited vinyl pressing. Two years later in 2022, a follow up, aptly titled “Ariel Days II”, was released. By this point, Templeman had ventured into more progressive and psychedelic sounds, ensuring that Ariel Days as a project was difficult to categorise into a singular sound or genre. The record featured flutes, cellos, sitars and unconventional percussion such as train whistles.
In 2024, the third Ariel Days record, “Assortments”, a compilation of songs old and new, was released to commemorate over 5 years of music released under the project’s name, the second half of the album once again featuring songs with sounds and sonics unlike previous releases, such as ventures into modular synthesis.
