Icelandic-Dutch artist Áslaug has etched out a distinctive place in the music realm with her larger than life alt-pop. Polyphonic voices delve into familiar yet profound themes such as the fluidity of self-image, the ever-evolving nature of interpersonal relationships, and the delicate balance between fragility and resilience. Beyond the stage and studio, Áslaug's artistry takes a deeply personal turn. Her forthcoming album “Catharsis” tackles the raw and vulnerable subject of her anxiety disorder, marking her most honest and personal endeavor to date.

Following her debut in 2019, Áslaug achieved significant recognition, earning the prestigious title of "3FM Talent," an accolade bestowed by the nation's largest pop and alternative radio station. Additionally, she secured a position in the “Top 12 van 3voor12” artists to watch in 2020 by esteemed music blog 3voor12. In January of 2020 she delivered a remarkable performance at the renowned showcase festival Eurosonic/Noorderslag, solidifying her presence in the music scene. Within a short span of just two years, Áslaug delighted her audience with the release of two EPs. The launch of her second EP, 'thirst,' was followed by a successful headline tour across the Netherlands. And now, Áslaug eagerly looks forward to reconnecting with those who are willing to listen to her music and message as she prepares to unveil her upcoming album, “Catharsis", set for release in 2025.
