Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Baby Smoove is quickly making a name for himself in the rap scene. Starting his career with mixtape, ‘Riding With the Goat’ and gaining traction regionally, Smoove followed up with classic projects, ‘Why So Serious’ along with his debut EP ‘Im Still Serious’ in 2018. He gained traction with his single, ‘Sixty’ off his 2019 project ‘Flawless’ and was named New Rap Song of the Day by Pitchfork. ‘Flawless’ project includes tracks like ‘Blicky’, ‘Bape’ and ‘Plastic’ which earned him millions of views on Youtube.
In 2019, Baby Smoove started off the summer with an EP called ‘La Vibes’. After breaking in with his hit ‘Akorn’ from the EP, which featured a visual of fast cars, liquor stores, and Detroit topped millions of views on Youtube and began quickly translating to markets across the world. Smoove began to release projects, ‘Mr Perfect’, ‘Purple Heart’ and ‘Baby’ which quickly certified him a seat on the charts with his consistency along with showing the range of his flows on different types of beats.
In 2020, Smoove stayed consistent dropping new projects and heightening his sound. ‘Im Still Perfect’ and ‘Hardwood Classic’ have gained international attention than any projects of Smoove’s. New producers like SG Kid Hazel, Cardogotwings, Chasethemoney, and main producers like Michigan Meech, Rocaine, and Mexikodro. EnrgyBeats connected with 'Overtime' and gained viral success on Tiktok. Smoove released his album 'Im Still Serious 2' in 2022.
