Barracuda Days

The four-piece band Barracuda Days, from Telemark in Norway, came together in the winter of 2022. They immediately started working on some songs and instrumentals Mathias had laying around from many years as a hobby musician. The bandmembers added their own basslines, drumgrooves, guitars and backing vocals and made the songs catch fire!

Barracuda Days draws upon inspiration from a variety of different musical sources. The backbone of their music might be called vintage rock, and it is infused with flavors from blues, americana, surf rock, spaghetti western and film noir. Mashed together this gives Barracuda Days their distinct sound.

Their low budget/high energy debut album - Get ready - was released in October 2023. It was recorded more or less live in Juke Joint Studio in Bluestown Notodden, and mixed by Halvor Halvorsen. Mastering was done by Njål Frode Lie at NFL Produksjoner AS. The Barracuda logo was created by Morten Hvattum, and our cover photo and design made by our very own drumbeast Even Lundefaret.
