Born in 1963, Bertrand Burgalat is a musician and producer. He has worked on more than 400 records, composed for Marc Lavoine, arranged P.J. Proby or remixed Depeche Mode. As a performer, he has released six studio albums under his name. In the film industry, he has written music for films by Pascal Bonitzer, Eva Ionesco, Benoit Forgeard and Marc Fitoussi. On television, he produced Le Ben & Bertie Show, a musical fiction broadcast on Paris Première, and on radio, the Face B program on France Inter.

Tricatel, the record company he founded in 1995, is entirely dedicated to unclassifiable artists (Chassol, Ingrid Caven...), to out-of-the ordinary projects (Catastrophe, Michel Houellebecq, Jonathan Coe...) and to composers like André Popp and David Whitaker. Author of numerous articles, prefaces and an essay (Diabétiquement vôtre, Calmann-Lévy 2015), Bertrand Burgalat chairs the Syndicat National de l'Edition Phonographique and the association Diabète et Méchant.
