Sbonelo Perfect Dimba (born August 9, 1991), professionally known by his stage name Bhizer, is a South African singer, songwriter, and producer.
Bhizer’s musical journey began in 2003 as a member of the hip hop group ‘37 Degreez’. During this time, the group released two mixtapes before Bhizer decided to pursue a solo career. Influenced by the likes of Oskido, Professor, and others, he became a key figure in the rise of Gqom, a genre that earned him the title “Gqom King.” In 2013, Bhizer released the single “Aw’ Kodwa,” which quickly gained popularity among fans and caught the attention of his idol, Oskido.
The track was later featured on Dbn Nyts’ debut album in 2015. Bhizer’s career soared to new heights in 2016 with the release of “Gobisiqolo,” a track that not only became a global hit but also earned international recognition. “Gobisiqolo” was featured in the Marvel Studios blockbuster ‘Black Panther’ and was nominated for the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Award for Favorite Song of the Year. It also became the most-viewed South African music video on YouTube in 2017.
