Northampton, MA-based Black Pyramid were born in 2007 with the union of vocalist/guitarist Andy Beresky, bassist Eric Beaudry, and drummer Clay Neely(later replaced with Andy Kivela) who had previously been involved with bands like Artimus Pyledriver, Black Fucking Doom, and Palace in Thunderland. As such, their existing connections within the stoner rock and doom communities quickly led to a hookup with the Meteor City label and the release of a 2008 EP and 2009 full-length -- both self-titled -- featuring a progressive blend of doom, drone, and post-metal influences.
