Bloomer

Sage Douglas, known as Bloomer, is a contemporary Shoegaze and Electronic Ambient artist phenomenon with a six-octave vocal range and an online following of more than 2 Million fans. His music blends Electronic elements with contemporary Shoegaze, creating what he calls “Skygaze,” an emo-melodic sound that’s both heavy and uplifting.

Born in Iowa City, IA in 1998, Sage moved to Fort Collins, CO at age 8 and began exploring music production on his family PC. Diagnosed with autism young, he excelled in academics but turned to music for emotional relief. “I wanted to make music that had a massive, building, emotive sound,” he says, citing influences like Silversun Pickups, Porter Robinson, and Smashing Pumpkins.

After releasing 14 tracks on a UK label up to 2017 as “Phantom Sage,” he joined TikTok in 2018 and gained 50k followers in two weeks. “That’s when I started taking singing seriously, even though I had no experience.” With the end of Phantom Sage came the Beginning of Bloomer.

The title track of his debut album, Butterfly World, originally written in 2016, became a defining moment. “It just captured such a pure moment that stuck with me,” he says. “The reception it got was real, and people genuinely connected with it.”

His album explores his struggles with mental health. “Sometimes it feels hopeful...other times it feels like the only escape will come when life ends... 'Butterfly World’ represents all of this,” he says, offering both solace and emotional reflection.
