Former main songwriter for Inner City Surfers, Brad spent decades in the trenches, touring North America, making records, chasing bad decisions through better songs, and dragging the beautiful wreckage back home with him. Raised on acoustic guitars, cheap rooms, loud amps, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Dinosaur Jr., and nights nobody admits they survived, he writes like a man taking inventory at last call while the jukebox burns. His songs are bruised, funny, dangerous, and stubbornly alive. Half confession, half threat, half prayer, math never quite adding up. After years of gigs, records, illness, chaos, and the slow war of staying alive, Brad Example is still here with a guitar in hand and dirt under the truth. Folk music with a switchblade.
