Built By Snow is a rock band from Austin, TX! The band includes JP (vocals, guitar, keys), Matt (guitar, keys, vocals), Ben (bass, keys, vocals), Brandon (drums), and Kevin (rotating member, bass, keys, vocals). We were super active from 2006-2010, releasing a 7-song EP (NOISE) and a 9-song full-length album (MEGA). During that time, we were part of the whole MySpace moment and became one of the buzz bands around Austin. We played a bunch of festivals and toured around a bit. We were also fortunate enough to license songs to Google, Cartoon Network, small TV shows, and indie movies. That whole moment moved really fast, and then we took a break to start families and figure out a bunch of life stuff.
From 2010-today, JP has continued making music under various project names including: Velcrowolf, Oh Look Out, and No Cares. Matt joins JP for the occasional Oh Look Out live shows. Built By Snow continues to play live every so often (most recently for SXSW showcases, and The Impossibles reunion shows). New songs are always bouncing around and someday we are going to make time to record another album together. In the meantime, we will continue to pop up around Austin and play a sneaky show every now and then.
