Butter and the Genre is a jazz band with a fresh take on classic sounds. Formed in December 2023 by Gregory “Butter” Haubrich, the group mixes smooth melodies, soulful vocals, and a touch of funk to create music anyone can enjoy. Inspired by legends like Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, and Earth, Wind & Fire, they bring a little something for everyone, whether you’re a jazz fan or just love good music.
The band includes Calliope Staudt on vocals, Alex Chapman on bass, Caden Lovelace on keys, Nick Tran on drums, Jeron Fishburn on saxophone and flute, and Butter on trumpet and cornet.
