Caleb Groh’s music swirls from world to world, where bluegrass and pop come together, Gershwin neo-classical moments, poetic country, and trap horns. Caleb Groh’s first project was called Happiest Lion. On his 9th birthday he was given a blue acoustic guitar. The next morning he woke up and wrote his first song.
He started recording on his home computer at 13 years old. At 16 he got a job in a coffee shop to pay for a microphone and some instruments. He then released his first album titled “Homemade”. After playing in soft, ethereal worlds, he moved onto paying homage to the 90’s country his parents raised him on.

He was born in New London, CT, where his father was stationed in the Coast Guard. His family then moved back to California, where he spent most of his childhood and began writing.

In 2012 he released Bottomless Coffee, which won him a Boston Music Award for Folk Artist of the Year. Hot Pop was released in 2015 when Caleb Groh left work to become a full-time visual artist/sculptor. He needed to create a soundtrack for his first art show, and Hot Pop was born. He then veered into trap-inspired and gaudy pop elements in 2016 on “Ocelot”. In 2019 he left Nashville, where he spent most of his 20’s, and moved to Brooklyn, where he spent a year in his room recording NON OMNIS MORIAR. He then moved to California and held onto it for 5 years, releasing it in 2025.
