Cantus is a Norwegian female choir known for its classical and traditional Norwegian folk style. Established in 1986, Tove Ramlo-Ystad has been their artistic director and conductor since inception.
They have showcased their high artistic level through numerous concerts, world-premiere commissions, and nine CD releases, including the critically acclaimed “Yggdrasil” in January 2023 with music written by composers all over the world.
Internationally, Cantus is renowned for their performances in choral competitions in China, South Korea (2012), Spain (2015) and South Africa (2018). They gained global recognition in 2013 by singing “Vuelie” in Disney’s “Frozen” and later contributing to the “Frozen 2” soundtrack, which was certified triple platinum.
