After years of training as a classical composer, Michael Farley began writing songs inspired by 90s Shoegaze and 80s Indiepop. His first set of completed songs were accepted for release by the Indiepop label, Series Two. The label went on indefinite hiatus before the album was ever released, but Caramel Snow was invited by the label for its debut at the Barley Street Tavern on Saturday, August 13, for the 2011 Nebraska Pop Festival. Subsequent EP’s and albums appeared on Magic Rub Cassettes, Shiny Happy Records, and Jigsaw Records. Caramel Snow’s album, Dicentra, was named one of the 25 best Dreampop/Shoegaze records of 2017 by Indievotion.
