Cassie Taylor is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and electric roots musician. She started her career in the early 2000s as a bassist for her father Otis Taylor. Her formative years as a touring artist led her to share the stage and record with blues and rock legends including Joe Cocker, John Oates, Gary Moore, and Keb’ Mo’.

Taylor released her solo album “Out of My Mind” in 2013, which infused traditional blues with genres as diverse as electronica, indie rock, and jazz. She toured internationally before calling it quits. “I was burned out and in a dark place. My career didn’t feel like my own, and I lost sight of the artist in me.

Taylor stepped back from touring.

Though Taylor was on a break from performing, she continued as a songwriter while, simultaneously, nearly eight years after its release, Out of My Mind continued to gain momentum with tracks like “Spare Some Love” surpassing 1 million streams on Spotify. Thanks to Taylor’s stage sabbatical, she turned to explore her selfhood with full intention and authenticity, creating a brand that is rooted in the foundation of sexual empowerment for women and embracing her identity as a queer, Black and Biracial woman, which shines through in her role as a Playboy Bunny and her new single “Desire,” out now.
