Chris Wells

Chris Wells is a jazz composer / musician from London currently performing & collaborating with Brazilian icon IVAN LINS. With HARVEY MASON he co-wrote a track, "Silver Streak", for all-star US group FOURPLAY for the band's 25th anniversary album "Silver". Chris's latest release "Calling Cards" (Electrico 18) features guitarist Edison Herbert and saxophonist Guto Lucena.

An alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music And Drama, Chris has recorded and performed with Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, John Adams, Carla Bley & Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard, Bryn Terfyl, Charlie Wood, London Sinfonietta, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Shakespeare Co., as well as on numerous film soundtracks, television and radio broadcasts. He has performed with a wide variety of Brazilian artists including Guinga, Marcus Valle, João Donato, Mônica Vasconcelos.
As a composer, Chris's music has been used all over the world by broadcasters (NHK Japan, BBC TV, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, SkySports, National Geographic, History Channel and others).
His work is published by Alphasonic Music (represented by BMG PM) and Atabaque Music.
