Growing up, music was always a part of my life, but it wasn’t until my father’s unexpected passing that it became something much more profound. Struggling with panic attacks and existential dread, I turned to meditation as a source of solace and grounding. That philosophy began shaping my music, and I discovered how sound could hold the present moment, offering calm and connection.
My sound has evolved through many forms, drawing from experimental indie, IDM, ambient, and electronic traditions. On Common Tiger’s earlier records, I performed every instrument you hear—tape-warped field recordings, open-marching guitar rhythms, borderline breakbeat drums, and whimsical synths.
My work has been recognized by Spotify and Apple Music, featured on their curated playlists, but the recognition that matters most comes directly from listeners—people who tell me a simple piano piece helped them return to their instrument, or that a meditative track carried them through a hard moment. For me, that’s the true purpose: creating music that bridges technology, memory, and emotion to bring us closer to stillness.
