D12, also known as the Dirty Dozen, is a multi-platinum group that consists of Eminem, Swifty McVay, Kuniva, Proof, Mr. Porter, and Bizarre. The group members have real names and aliases, which include Rufus Johnson, aka Peter S. Bizarre, Denine Porter, aka Kon Artis,Ondre Moore aka SwiftyMcVay, Von Carlisle or Rondell Beene., aka Kuniva, and Deshaun Holton, aka Proof or Dirty Harry. Initially, D12 was expected to have 12 MC's from Detroit, but it ended up being a group of six. Eminem joined the group after the death of Bugz.

D12 was created to be a Hip Hop movement that promotes freedom of speech, humor, obscene shock value, lyrism, grit, and catchy bars. The group has been on popular TV shows like MTV, TRL, BET, talk shows, and films such as The Longest Yard. They have also starred in the video game CRIME LIFE. The group has performed their hits like Purple Pills, Shit Can Happen, Fight Music, Revelations, 40 ounce, My Band, How Come, and more on tours worldwide.

D12 will never forget the late Proof, who had so much excitement about his future plans for the group. He would often sit on the tour bus with papers scattered everywhere, filled with plans, ideas, business ventures, and determination. They will continue to keep this movement alive in his honor and for their supporters who they affectionately call "Derty Headz." Loyalty, longevity, and legacy are the D12 way. Much love from D12.
