I'm not a song writer. I'm drawn to moods but if a song comes out of it, that’s fine.
I've become tired of song structures and progressions, taking a linear approach, very similar to electronic music in many respects. When I started this project it became evident very early on that this material was very different to anything I had produced in the past, and I was playing multiple instruments, using my voice and collaborating, all things I have shied away from in the past.
This ended up being one of the most freeing musical projects I have ever worked on, more honest and representative of where I am at this time in my life.
