Originating from Jeju, South Korea, DAYOUNG discovered her passion for performing at an early age, which eventually led her to train under Starship Entertainment. She made her official debut in 2016 as part of the K-pop group, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), quickly earning attention for her dynamic vocals, radiant stage presence, and engaging personality.

On September 9, 2025, DAYOUNG made her long-awaited debut as a solo artist with her first album . This milestone marks a new chapter in her career, highlighting her versatility not only as a group performer but also as a confident soloist with a unique voice and perspective.

The album’s title track, “body,” is a rhythmic pop dance song that captures the heat of a summer night and the raw instinct of falling in love. Its punchy beats and addictive hook create a groove that carries a message beyond dance: “What reaches before words are emotions—and attitude.” Through this song, DAYOUNG explores how to express the heart without speaking, telling a story of love that is immediate and fearless rather than overly dramatic. The protagonist of this stage is someone brimming with confidence—someone who can communicate love with just a look.
