Hailing from Milwaukee, DC THE DON is a one-of-one creative — not chasing a genre, but torching the blueprint. Before music, there was basketball. A Chino Hills teammate of Lonzo Ball, he first broke through with “Everything 1k,” created for Big Baller Brand. When a contract stalled his official releases for two years, DC built his own momentum through “DC Fridays,” a weekly SoundCloud series that became a cult staple.

In 2020, he signed to Rostrum Records and released Come As You Are, stepping beyond trap into something more melodic and honest. He expanded that vision with 2022’s My Own Worst Enemy, a concept album splitting his psyche between Donny (rage) and Rag3 Kidd (pain), followed by the raw and unfiltered SACRED HEART. By 2023, he earned a spot on XXL’s Freshman list and dropped FUNERAL, a genre-blending evolution of breakbeats, synth-pop, and ‘90s R&B textures.

In 2024, DC released the 2012 EP and his official debut LP, REBIRTH, alongside a cinematic short film. Then came independence. After fans rallied behind a snippet sampling Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl,” DC secured approval and released “GET NAKED” independently in May 2025. The track exploded — 90M+ streams, 100K+ Shazams, and 80K+ TikTok creations.

Now, DC THE DON enters his next chapter with his (EP) the rumors are true, arriving via his imprint Letter 5 & Republic Records.
