DJ Supreme is a pioneering DJ, producer & turntablist from the UK. He is the original founding member of the legendary UK hip-hop group ‘Hijack’ that were prominent from the mid-80s onward.
Signed by ICE-T to Rhyme Syndicate records, Hijack's album "The Horns of Jericho" would be released worldwide to critical acclaim, charting in the UK top 40. It would be Supreme's unique production style on that LP that would set the bench mark for early UK rap. Called Britcore, the sound would take hold in Europe and later pave the way for Rave music, big beat and Drum & Bass music.
His contributions to music and scratch DJing has inspired the likes of Liam Howlett (The Prodigy), DJ Q-Bert and Mix Master Mike (The Beastie Boys).
Supreme continues to work with ICE-T and other international artists, and releases new music under his own BackBone Records, extending his legacy further into the future.
