Dope est Dope is a Berlin-based music project founded by Lai Raw and Sixcube. Sixcube was classically trained as a pianist and composer from a young age, whereas Lai Raw began later by DJing electronic music. The fusion of these approaches lies at the heart of the team’s stage and studio dynamic.
Beginning with their debut in 2016, they have gained attention through high-profile studio productions for various hip hop and pop artists, while also releasing follow-up records: ‘NOW', ‘Watermelon Street’ and most recently 'Only Dope'.
With their new EP ‘Seven Mills’, the two producers looked for a new challenged and embarked on a creative holiday in the south german countryside together with fellow producers Figub Brazlevic, Radsch and vocalists Babe Sila and Aylin. These jam session formed the basis of the seven tracks that made it onto the EP.
In classic Dope est Dope manner, the duo managed to reinvent themselves while keeping their signature sound as fresh as ever.
