Akom’s music is truly influenced by Jamaican culture from eighty’s early reggae dancehall to mainstream music of today; Their journey as a backing band took them alongside the biggest names in Jamaican music which led them later to produce riddims for these artists.
Notable productions are the Bonafide Riddim released in 2011 featuring Konshens on a massive reggae beat with his title “Weak” , the Heartwarming Riddim with the song “See the Mothers Cry” by Turbulence, also the Way Back Riddim released in 2014 which feature a various selection of artists with numerous hits (Konshens, Pressure Buss Pipe, Johnny Osbourne, Millon Stylez & Lutan Fyah, Lukie D…) that was really appreciated by reggae lovers; then the single remix “ Let Me Go (reloaded)” from Konshens, “Take Me Away” by Jahmiel, the 2017 hit single by Vershon “Wul It Out” which is very well received by the dancehall addicts and is getting airplay by Djs from around the world ;
Due to the quality of their work Akom begins to get some recognition in the reggae/dancehall music business. More music is to come!
