“Dulce is one of the Philippines’ natural treasures.” — Maestro Ryan Cayabyab (National Artist for Music, Philippines)

Dulce is a born artist whose distinct powerful voice and electrifying showmanship harmonize to catapult her to international fame. From a virtual unknown in the 70’s, Dulce soared to great heights through sheer guts and genuine talent. She first made waves with her 1978 recording of “DULCE AMOR”, from the movie “MISS DULCE AMOR – INA”. But victory was all the sweeter when in 1979, she brought fame and honor to the Philippines when she bagged the Grand Prize in the Asian Singing Competition with the song “AKO ANG NASAWI, AKO ANG NAGWAGI” by George Canseco held in Hongkong.

Over the years, this rare find of a musical gem has metamorphosed into a stunning performer that makes people stop and listen as she belts out her songs.

Dulce puts her soul, her heart, her life to every performance. She sings her way to her audiences’ hearts. Dulce virtually enraptures her audience; oftentimes to the point of awe.

Her dominance in the singing arena has been so total, that she is considered a singer “non-pareil”. Few, if none, would argue with that.
