Hajji Alejandro is a Philippine pop music icon who made his debut in 1970s with the song, “Tag-Araw, Tag-Ulan” and it’s flip side, “Panakip Butas”. He was the first Grand Prize Winner of the Metro Manila Pop Music Festival as interpreter of the song by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika” which went on to also win the highest prize at the Seoul Song Music Festival.

After a 5-year stint in the U.S. where he continued to perform for Filipino communities, he returned to the Philippines with slew of sold out concerts in tandem with daughter, Rachel Alejandro, who revived his song, “Nakapagatataka” and made it into one of the biggest hits of the early 90s. For the past two decades, he has been part of the most successful concert tours with his contemporaries, called “OPM Hitmakers”.

His newest single “Dati”, is his return to the recording scene in twenty years.
