Duncan Covey

Duncan Covey is an indie-folk songwriter and producer based in London, UK. Influenced by the sounds of artists like Joshua Hyslop, Canyon City, Donovan Woods and Passenger and 24 years of growing up (in the age sense rather than the getting boring part!) in rural, sunny Cornwall, Duncan’s intimate, introspective tracks are just as captivating on stage with the band as around the campfire where they were originally penned. Supported by Ash on keys, Ellie on electric guitar, Arthur on bass, Harry/Pete on trumpet and Joey on drums, the full Duncan Covey sound takes the indie-folk genre in an excitingly unique direction. Far from Duncan’s teenage busking beginnings, 2021 was highlighted by BBC Introducing support, a BBC Radio Bristol live session and a stripped band set at The Great Estate Festival, not to mention over 350k Spotify streams with support from the genre-leading curators Alex Rainbird and Indie-Folk Central. The future looks exciting with releases (produced by Joey Walker: Jessie Reid, Toby Johnson) planned for the spring and summer of 2022.
