EAGLE AND THE MEN. What sounds like a German answer to the British nu-folk wave of the 2010s turns out to be its further development with attention for details. With the four musicians addition of genre influences from indie, pop and alternative, EAGLE AND THE MEN sometimes sound like a progressive version of the early Mumford And Sons, then again like relaxed Kings Of Leon or a dreampop adaptation of the Giant Rooks.
With their upcoming second EP "LUCID DREAMS", the four musicians from Jena deliver a broad stylistic palette of five new songs that have clearly outgrown the band's folk roots without losing that certain something of dynamic-melancholic atmosphere and closeness or taking themselves too seriously. Together with distinctive lead vocals, late night feeling and skilfully used instrumentation, according to the motto: "Less is sometimes more", the characteristic mixture of intimate campfire romance and modern indie sound makes it with the four musicians through the studio onto the stage.
